Our At-Home Spa Bathroom Reveal

I am so excited to finally share our bathroom renovation with you all! This has been months in the making and I could not be happier with how it turned out. We transformed our dated, builder-grade bathroom into a spa-like retreat that feels like a luxury hotel every single day.

When we bought our house, the bathroom was one of the spaces that needed the most work. The tile was outdated, the vanity was small, and there was no personality whatsoever. I knew I wanted to create a serene, spa-inspired space where I could unwind after long days of shooting content and traveling.

The Design Vision

I drew inspiration from luxury hotels we have stayed at around the world. I wanted the space to feel calm, organic, and elevated without being cold or impersonal. The color palette I landed on is soft whites, warm beiges, and natural wood tones with touches of brass for warmth.

I worked with an interior designer to bring this vision to life. We started by gutting the entire space and reconfiguring the layout. The biggest change was adding a freestanding soaking tub that sits in the center of the room. It is the statement piece that ties everything together.

The Vanity

The vanity is custom-built with a beautiful Calacatta Gold marble countertop. I chose a floating design to make the room feel more spacious and airy. The brass fixtures from Restoration Hardware add a touch of elegance without being too flashy.

For the mirrors, we went with two large round mirrors flanking the vanity. They reflect light beautifully and create the illusion of more space. The brass frames tie in perfectly with the hardware.

The Shower

The shower is my absolute favorite part. We installed floor-to-ceiling Zellige tiles in a soft white. The handmade quality of these tiles gives each one a unique character that adds so much warmth and texture to the space.

We added a rain shower head and a handheld sprayer, both in brushed brass. There is also a built-in niche for all my products, which keeps everything organized and looking clean. The glass enclosure makes the space feel open and airy.

The Finishing Touches

What really makes this bathroom feel like a spa are the details. I added eucalyptus branches in a ceramic vase, luxury bath products displayed on marble trays, and plush Turkish cotton towels rolled up in a basket.

The heated floors are another game-changer. There is nothing like stepping onto warm tile on a cold morning. It is one of those upgrades that feels indulgent but is actually quite practical.

I also added a small bench with a linen cushion where I can sit while getting ready. It has storage underneath for extra towels and robes. The whole space now feels intentional and cohesive.

This renovation was a significant investment, but it has completely transformed how I start and end my days. Having a beautiful, functional space to get ready in makes such a difference. I hope this gives you some inspiration for your own bathroom projects!
