Home Tour: My Studio

August 28, 2026|By Mia

I am so excited to finally be sharing my studio space with you all! This has been a project I have been working on for months, and it is finally complete. For those who do not know, I recently converted a spare room in our home into a dedicated creative studio where I film, photograph, and edit all of my content.

When I first started blogging, I was working from our dining room table. As my brand grew, I realized I needed a dedicated space where I could spread out, stay organized, and feel inspired. This room has truly become my happy place.

The Design Concept

I wanted the space to feel bright, airy, and feminine without being overly girly. I drew inspiration from modern Parisian apartments with a mix of contemporary and vintage elements. The color palette is soft whites, blush pinks, and warm golds with touches of natural wood.

The walls are painted in Benjamin Moore White Dove, which is the most beautiful warm white. It does not feel stark or cold but still keeps everything looking clean and fresh. I added picture frame molding on the accent wall behind my desk to give the room some architectural interest.

The Desk Setup

The centerpiece of the room is my white marble desk from West Elm. It has clean lines and a minimalist feel that I absolutely love. I paired it with a blush velvet desk chair from Anthropologie that is as comfortable as it is beautiful.

On my desk, I keep things minimal. My iMac sits on a brass monitor stand that elevates it to the perfect eye level. I have a small marble tray that holds my everyday essentials like my lip gloss, hand cream, and a little dish for jewelry. A gold desk lamp from Target provides task lighting for late-night editing sessions.

Storage Solutions

One of the biggest challenges was figuring out storage. I have accumulated quite a collection of clothing, shoes, and accessories over the years for content creation. I installed floating shelves on one wall where I display handbags and shoes that I rotate through regularly.

The IKEA Kallax unit in white has been a lifesaver for organizing products. I use clear acrylic organizers from Container Store inside each cube to keep everything visible and easy to find. It is like having a mini closet within the studio.

The Photography Area

On the opposite side of the room, I have set up my photography area. A large window lets in the most beautiful natural light in the afternoon. I have a full-length mirror with a gold frame leaning against the wall that I use for outfit shots.

I also invested in professional lighting for days when the natural light is not cooperating. The ring light and softbox setup I have works perfectly for both photos and video content. It makes such a difference in the quality of my content.

Finishing Touches

The room would not be complete without some personal touches. A large abstract art piece from Minted hangs above my desk and pulls together all the colors in the room. Fresh flowers from the local farmers market are always on my desk because they bring me so much joy.

I also have a small seating area with a white boucle chair and a round marble side table. This is where I sit to brainstorm ideas, read magazines, or take a break from screen time. A faux fur throw draped over the chair adds coziness.

What I Would Do Differently

If I could go back and change anything, I would have installed more outlets. I am constantly running extension cords because I have so many devices that need charging. I would also add built-in shelving instead of floating shelves for a more streamlined look.

Overall, I am absolutely in love with how this space turned out. It has made such a difference in my productivity and creativity. Having a dedicated space where I can focus and feel inspired has been a game changer for my business.

Where did you get the picture frame molding done? I want to add that to my office. The room looks incredible!
